ANNOUNCEMENTS

LACA Fall 2010 Spanish Courses are being postponed by one month, with the original start date being the week of Sept. 13, now changing to the week of Oct. 4. Deadline to register is Sept. 17. Look for the "Download the Registration Packet" icon on the homepage for more details on registering. Look for the tab "Services" at the top of the homepage for general information on courses.

LACA is recruiting volunteer mentors for a literacy program in one of Indy's largest Latino communities. In the spirit of good will, volunteers with a little bit of training can teach the English alphabet and its sounds, sounding out words, and basic reading and writing in English. Some basic understanding of Spanish is ideal for mentors but may not always be necessary when teaching to read and write in English.

Contact LACA at 317-693-7603 ext 7640 regarding these announcements for more information. Thank you!
